Membership FAQ:

1) I want to help, but I don't want to join/pay online. How do I join by mail?

Print and complete our Membership Form. Then, mail this form along with your check (made payable to "GDPA") to Paige Rose, Attn: GDPA, 524 Graydon Ave. #5, Norfolk, VA 23507.

2) Why does the Ghent Dog Park Association need sponsors and members?

Sponsorships allow us to raise the funds necessary to renovate the park. While the City of Norfolk will help us with some maintenance, it is entirely up to the Ghent Dog Park Association to raise the money for renovations.

Memberships allow us to have funds available to maintain the park. The City of Norfolk does basic maintenance for the park, such as lawn mowing and trash collection. More complicated maintenance is the responsibility of the Dog Park Association, which includes adding plants, gardening, filling holes, etc.

3) Are donations and memberships to the Ghent Dog Park Association tax-deductable?

We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, so contributions to GDPA in the United States are tax-deductible to the extent provided by law. Our Tax ID number is 59-3840940.
